A leading noise-control specialist based in Reading is seeking a Technical Acoustic Sales Engineer / Consultant to strengthen its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with solid acoustics expertise who can combine technical capability with a commercial mindset. You’ll play a key role in developing bespoke noise-control solutions, nurturing client relationships, and supporting the company’s continued expansion.
The position sits at the crossroads of acoustic engineering, sales, and project delivery. You’ll collaborate with clients across industrial, commercial, and built-environment sectors while contributing to the long-term direction of the business.

Main Duties
-
Designing and delivering custom noise-control solutions

Conducting acoustic assessments and providing clear, tailored advice to clients

Preparing proposals, quotations, and detailed technical reports

Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients and external stakeholders

Assisting with wider business development efforts

Working closely with internal teams to ensure projects run efficiently and successfully
About You
-
Degree in Acoustics, Engineering, or another relevant technical field

Experience within noise control, acoustics consultancy, or associated manufacturing industries

Strong understanding of applied and theoretical acoustics

Excellent communication, organisational, and presentation skills

IOA membership (MIOA or working toward it) is beneficial

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when needed
