We’re Growing, We’re Hiring!

The Penguin Recruitment success story continues. Our team is now 35 strong, but demand from clients means we need more recruitment consultants to help us find the best candidates and match them to job vacancies.

No Recruitment Experience Required

We’d be delighted to talk to you if you have existing experience in recruitment, but most importantly we’re looking for people with drive, enthusiasm and great communication skills - irrespective of background. Perhaps you work in retail, hospitality or sales and would like the chance to build a new career – a career that offers fantastic potential for financial reward and personal development.

The Recruitment Profession

Recruitment is a dynamic and rewarding profession that involves helping employers (our clients) find the best candidates for their staffing needs. As a recruitment consultant, you'll work closely with employers to understand exactly the type of person they are looking to recruit and with candidates to understand exactly the type of role they would like to apply for. A recruitment consultant provides a vital and valuable service by matching the two requirements, arranging interviews and ultimately making both parties very happy by confirming a job offer!

WHY WORK FOR PENGUIN?

Rewarding work: We make a difference to people’s lives - helping candidates find their dream job and helping employers fill roles that may be critical to the success of their organisation.

Team spirit and inclusive culture: We work together, learn together and celebrate together. New Penguin employees are trained to become expert recruitment consultants who take great pride in their work. Downtime is important though, which is why we organise frequent team activities such as white-water rafting, go kart racing, rock climbing and surfing.

Pay and benefits: Our pay structure is transparent and highly achievable. Penguin recruitment consultant trainees can expect on target earnings (OTE) of £32,500 with a basic salary of £22,000 to £25,000. More established consultants have OTE of £60,000 and basic salary between £25,000 and £30,000.

Skills development: Penguin recruitment consultants learn valuable personal and business skills, including HR procedures, marketing and advertising, relationship building, negotiation, business development and communication techniques.

A valued profession, an important focus: Not only is recruitment a fast-growth, in-demand profession, but Penguin also focuses on specific sectors that are vital to economic growth, environmental protection and societal improvement.

Location, location, location: The Penguin offices are in Mumbles, an idyllic coastal village in South Wales. The sea front is less than a 5-minute stroll away (as are various shops, bars and restaurants!). We also have an office in the cosmopolitan Birmingham suburb of Moseley.
