The Opportunity

Are you passionate about driving sustainability in the built environment? Looking to take a hands-on role supporting net zero goals and improving building performance?

We’re working with a forward-thinking consultancy seeking a Sustainability Consultant & BREEAM Assessor to join their growing Energy & Sustainability team in Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with MEP Engineers and Building Physics specialists, contributing to a wide variety of impactful, sustainability-led projects across multiple sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Delivering environmental assessments and sustainability certifications (including BREEAM and HQM)
  • Developing energy strategies, sustainability reports, and resource efficiency studies
  • Working with clients and design teams to embed sustainability across project stages
  • Managing project delivery, including tracking progress, budgets, and programme timelines
  • Supporting wider sustainability services such as planning submissions, energy and water assessments
  • Staying up to date with industry standards, regulations, and emerging best practice
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where required
  • Contributing to whole life carbon and embodied carbon assessments when needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience delivering BREEAM or similar sustainability certifications
  • Qualified BREEAM Assessor (essential) – AP status advantageous
  • Understanding of frameworks such as HQM, WELL, SKA, Fitwel, CEEQUAL, DREAM, etc.
  • Strong awareness of net zero principles, LETI guidance, and UK regulations
  • Experience across sustainability consultancy or project delivery environments
  • Exposure to embodied carbon or LCA work (beneficial)
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Genuine passion for sustainability and improving building performance
