Salary: €60,000 – €75,000 + Benefits
A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior/Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its expanding Wexford team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced air quality professional to step into a senior leadership role, delivering high-level technical work while helping to shape the future of the consultancy’s services in Ireland.
As a Senior/Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will lead complex air quality, emissions, and regulatory compliance projects across infrastructure, transport, and urban development sectors. You’ll oversee dispersion modelling and impact assessments, produce robust technical reports, and act as a key point of contact for clients, regulators, and stakeholders. The role also offers strong scope for mentoring junior staff and contributing to business development.

Duties for the role include:

Leading and delivering complex air quality and dispersion modelling projects

Producing and reviewing technical reports, ES chapters, and regulatory submissions

Managing client relationships and liaising with authorities and stakeholders

Mentoring junior consultants and supporting team development

Contributing to bids, proposals, and wider growth strategies
Skills and experience required:
-
6+ years’ air quality consultancy or regulatory experience
-
Strong capability with ADMS, AERMOD & relevant IAQM/EPUK guidance

Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or similar
-
Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working towards (advantageous)

Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills

Full UK/Irish driving licence
