Senior Building Services Engineer.

I am currently supporting a well-established, forward-thinking building services consultancy in their search for a Senior Building Services Engineer with a strong focus on sustainability. This role is ideal for an engineer who is passionate about delivering low-carbon, efficient building systems and contributing to high-quality, environmentally responsible projects. The successful candidate will join a collaborative M&E design team, working across a diverse range of developments.
Essential Criteria

Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.

Significant practical design experience in mechanical building services, ideally 5-8+ years.

Strong working knowledge of UK mechanical design standards and industry guidelines.

High-level proficiency in CAD/Revit for producing schematics and technical drawings.

Ability to manage project deadlines, workloads, and respond professionally to technical queries such as RFIs and technical submissions.

Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with clients, design teams, and contractors.

Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable Criteria

Prior experience leading projects or supporting management of an M&E team.

Familiarity with sustainability frameworks such as BREEAM, LEED, or WELL.

Experience with energy modelling tools such as IES VE.

Working toward or holding professional accreditation such as CIBSE.

Mechanical engineering experience across residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments.
