Job Title: Principal Air Quality Consultant
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Benefits

A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a Principal Air Quality Consultant to join their expanding London team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced professional to lead high-profile projects, support business development, and guide a growing team within a flexible hybrid working environment.

As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you’ll take ownership of major air quality and EIA projects across transport, infrastructure, and urban development. You’ll act as a technical lead, ensuring quality and compliance, while mentoring junior consultants and helping shape future growth in the London region.

Duties for the role of Principal Air Quality Consultant include:

  • Leading and delivering air quality and dispersion modelling projects

  • Preparing EIA air quality chapters and compliance reports

  • Managing key client relationships and business development activity

  • Providing technical leadership and quality assurance

  • Mentoring and developing junior consultants

  • Liaising with regulators and local authorities

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in air quality consultancy or regulation

  • Strong experience with ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related field

  • Chartered or working towards (CEnv/IAQM preferred)

  • Proven client and project management skills

  • Full UK driving licence
