Penguin Recruitment is working with an employee-owned environmental consultancy seeking a senior Associate Air Quality Consultant to strengthen its Manchester team.
This is a high-impact leadership role suited to an experienced consultant who wants meaningful input into projects, people development, and long-term regional strategy.
You’ll join a progressive consultancy delivering technically challenging work across planning, transport, odour, and indoor air quality, with the freedom to influence both project delivery and business growth.
The role
As a senior Associate in Manchester, you’ll balance technical leadership with team and client responsibility. Key duties include:

Managing complex air quality projects across diverse sectors

Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions

Supporting client relationships and expanding regional presence

Coaching and developing junior consultants

Contributing to company strategy within an employee-owned model
About you
You will have:

12+ years’ experience in air quality consultancy

Strong expertise in assessments and modelling

Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience

Confidence in client management and stakeholder engagement

Commercial awareness and a solutions-focused approach
