Daily Duties

  • Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and working documentation
  • Develop construction information in coordination with architects, engineers, and consultants
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, technical standards, and quality requirements
  • Assist in the preparation of planning and building control submissions
  • Conduct site visits to advise on buildability, detailing, and technical resolution
  • Maintain CAD/BIM standards and oversee drawing accuracy and quality control
  • Contribute to tender documentation and project handover packages
  • Support junior technicians and drafters with guidance and mentoring

Ideal Candidate

  • Recognised qualification in Architectural Technology / Technician discipline (HNC/HND or degree)
  • Proven experience delivering technical outputs on medium to large-scale projects
  • Proficiency in CAD/BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD)
  • Several years UK based experience in a Technical role
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, construction detailing, and specification writing
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills with architects, engineers, and contractors
  • Detail-oriented, pragmatic, and solution-focused
  • Confident undertaking site visits and translating technical issues into practical solutions
  • Collaborative, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality, buildable architecture
