Acoustic Consultant
Location: Belfast
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 + Benefits
A well-regarded acoustics and environmental consultancy is seeking an experienced Acoustic Consultant to join its expanding Belfast office. This is a great opportunity to take on a varied workload of building acoustics and environmental noise projects across the UK and Ireland, working alongside a supportive team of specialists.
In this position, you’ll play a key role in delivering acoustic input across residential, commercial, educational, industrial, and infrastructure schemes-helping to shape sustainable, effective design solutions from concept through to project completion.

Your Responsibilities
-
Carry out building acoustics design work and environmental noise assessments
-
Complete noise and vibration surveys, modelling and detailed analysis
-
Produce clear, high-quality technical reports and assessments
-
Work closely with clients, planners, and multidisciplinary design teams

Contribute to business development efforts and offer guidance to junior colleagues
About You
-
Degree in Acoustics, Physics or a similar discipline
-
2-5 years’ experience in building or environmental acoustics
-
Skilled in acoustic modelling tools such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, INSUL, CATT or Odeon
-
Good understanding of UK standards/guidance including BS4142, BS8233 and ProPG
-
Strong communication and report-writing abilities

IOA membership (or working towards it)

Full UK driving licence
