TOWN PLANNER
Location: Edinburgh, Scotland
Salary: £40,000/£50,000
An established planning consultancy is looking to expand its team in Edinburgh with a motivated Town Planner. This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional to join a specialist consultancy and work on a diverse range of development projects across Scotland.

REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Town Planning or a relevant discipline.
- MRTPI qualified, working towards chartership or interested in pursuing professional accreditation.
- Previous experience in town planning, ideally within a planning consultancy or local authority.
- Good understanding of the Scottish planning system, planning policy and development management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Confidence liaising with clients, consultants and planning authorities.
- A proactive approach and a genuine interest in property, development and planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing and managing planning applications for a range of development projects.
- Producing planning statements, reports and supporting documentation.
- Advising clients on planning policy, development opportunities and planning strategies.
- Liaising with local planning authorities, developers, architects and other stakeholders.
- Monitoring applications and managing projects throughout the planning process.
- Undertaking planning policy research and assessing development proposals.
- Supporting residential, commercial and mixed-use schemes from initial feasibility through to determination.
- Building and maintaining client relationships while contributing to successful project delivery.
