A leading specialist consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join its Cardiff team.
The role offers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of geotechnical projects, taking responsibility for technical delivery while supporting the development of junior engineers.
The role:
- Managing and delivering geotechnical projects from ground investigation through to design
- Undertaking geotechnical analysis and design for a range of projects
- Working on foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and slope stability
- Reviewing ground investigation information and producing interpretive reports
- Providing technical advice to clients and project teams
- Liaising with clients, contractors and other disciplines
- Preparing technical specifications, reports and fee proposals
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
- Contributing to business development and client relationships
About you:
- Degree qualified in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or a related subject
- Previous experience within a geotechnical consultancy
- Strong understanding of ground investigation and geotechnical design
- Experience with foundation and earthworks design
- Comfortable managing projects and working directly with clients
- Chartered or working towards Chartership is desirable
