Transport Planner
Location: Bristol
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Transport Planner to join a respected and growing consultancy based in Bristol. Our client is seeking a motivated and analytical professional to support the delivery of a wide range of development planning and infrastructure projects across the UK.
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work on diverse transport planning assignments that influence the success of major residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their technical skills and progress in a client-focused consultancy environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Preparing and assisting with the production of Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, and Travel Plans

Supporting the appraisal of development sites and access strategies

Undertaking junction modelling and capacity assessments (e.g., using ARCADY, PICADY)

Using relevant datasets and software tools such as TRICS, TEMPro, and AutoCAD

Engaging with clients, project teams, and local authorities to deliver high-quality planning outcomes
About You:

Degree qualified in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography, or a related discipline

Relevant years of experience in development transport planning preferred (but not essential)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

A keen interest in sustainable transport, planning policy, and infrastructure delivery

A proactive and organised approach with attention to detail

Experience with transport modelling software desirable
