Town Planner / Senior Planner – REMOTE

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an award-winning independent planning consultancy in their hire of an ambitious and enthusiastic Town Planner to their growing London team!
This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior planner who is looking for the space and scope within a professional outfit for swift professional progression. We are seeking applications from candidate who will ideally have previous professional experience in planning, and who have recently, or plan to, achieve RTPI chartership.
My clients current team offer a full range of planning and development consultancy services across and throughout the UK to both public and private sector clients. Key sectors covered by the team include regeneration, retail, commercial, residential, industrial, infrastructure, heritage, tourism and leisure, EIA, and education. They have an impressive portfolio of completed and current projects!
The successful candidate will provide support and assistance to senior members of the team on the full range of planning services. As part of the team, you will work on strategic initiative and planning applications, co-ordinating essential professional inputs, and leading negotiations with the local planning authority. You will also support the team in giving evidence at public inquiry and advise and instruct Counsel as appropriate.
Candidate Requirements
- RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or equivalent qualification.
- MRTPI Chartered or working towards.
- Demonstratable experience within a public or private sector planning role.
- Up to date knowledge of the UK Planning system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
