Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an established, regarded and successful Planning Consultancy on the hire of a Planner / Senior Planner. Our client is soon to be celebrating their 20th year and is seeking to appoint a Planner to help support their client base of property developers, land owners, affordable housing providers, pension fund managers and private individuals.

In this role you assist the company in providing the following services to your clients;

-Site appraisals

-Planning applications and appeals

-Making representations to Planning Committees

-Planning Enforcement matters

-Development Plan representations / site promotion

-Pre-application advice

-Certificates of lawfulness

-Changes of use

-Advice on planning obligations (S106) and developer contributions.

In order to apply, you should hold/have:

-Formal qualification in Town and Country Planning (Masters/Postgraduate/First Degree)

-Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute or eligible for full Chartered Membership

-Relevant experience preferably within the private sector

-Commercial awareness and the ability to work on own initiative

-Knowledge and experience of Town & Country Planning regulations

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-A full driving licence
