Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a highly regarded Town Planning and Development Consultancy in Bristol with the hire of a Town Planner. This is a permanent position.

Our client operates nationwide and has been successfully trading for over 35 years! In this role, the successful Senior Town Planner will provide professional advice to a range of clients across the public and private sectors, planning for all types of development, and in particular Housing, Affordable Housing, Care/Older Persons Accommodation, and Custom/Self-Build Housing.

Join the successful team and help provide the following services to your clients;

-Strategic Land Promotion

-Planning Policy Advice and Representation

-Planning Appraisal

-Planning Application

-Planning Appeals / Expert Witness

-Planning Enforcement

-Community Engagement



-Housing Needs Assessments

In order to apply, Town Planners should hold the following;

-An RTPI accredited degree and/or Masters.

-Previous planning experience commensurate to a Town Planner.

-Private sector experience ideal.

-Good communication skills.

-Good client liaison & negotiation skills.

-An eye for detail.

-Commercially driven.


-Strong report writing skills.

-Understanding of the UK planning process.

Salary / Benefits

In return for your commitment and hard work, the appointed Senior Town Planner will be rewarded with a competitive starting salary (guide of £28,000 – £35,000pa), a competitive benefits package, a varied workload and an experienced leadership team for support.
