I am actively seeking a bright graduate who has a keen interest in structural design to join a successful, well-established, civil and structural design consultancy in Gloucester. Working on a variety of projects, many of which focus on steel design, you will get the chance to work on projects from conception through to completion stage. Current workload spans across utilities, telecoms, rail, building and highways sectors.

Our client is offering an excellent training programme which will allow the Engineer to work on design, get involved in project management, work with the drafting team and generally get a feel for all aspects of the design environment. You will be offered a highly competitive salary, including pension contribution and bonus schemes, plus 25 days leave excluding bank holidays! In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer role you will:

  • Have gained a strong degree in civil or structural engineering (a 2,1 or first class MEng being preferable)
  • Previous experience in steel design from a Consultancy or Fabricator
  • A working knowledge of CAD would be advantageous although not essential.
  • You will display a hard working, proactive approach to work
  • You will have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • If you are close to Gloucester this would be a benefit but we can also consider candidates relocating.
