My client, a chartered town planning and development consultancy based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, is looking for a Chartered Senior Town Planner to join the team. The firm offers a wide range of planning services, working with clients including housebuilders, landowners, farmers, and businesses on residential, commercial, and rural development projects.

The Position as a Senior Town Planner
The position as a Senior Town Planner is for a proactive individual. The successful candidate will have a full membership with the RTPI. As a Senior Town Planner, you will be meaningfully engaged in a variety of projects and be responsible for building and nurturing client relationships, as well as being a mentor to more junior staff.

Essential Criteria for the candidate as a Senior Town Planner
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline.
- Chartered membership or eligibility with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI).
- Several years of experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy or local authority environment.
- Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, regulations, and policy frameworks.
- Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills..
