Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer ready to lead complex projects and influence engineering strategy? Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic and growing organisation based in Kent. What You’ll Do:
- Lead mechanical design and development of bespoke systems and components
- Oversee full project lifecycle from concept through to delivery
- Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, electrical, manufacturing)
- Conduct feasibility studies, stress analysis, FEA, and design reviews
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations
About You:
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and engineering
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.)
- Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerancing
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it) desirable
