Senior Ecologist
Belfast £32,000-£42,000
A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for a Senior Ecologist to join their Belfast office on a permanent basis (flexible and hybrid working opportunities available). You would be joining a respected ecology team delivering sustainable, nature-based solutions across a wide range of UK and Irish projects. Flexible location options and hybrid working are available.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation of high-quality ecological reports, including PEAs, EcIAs, HRAs, and BNG Assessments.
- Manage and deliver ecological inputs across all project stages, including client engagement and resource planning.
- Conduct habitat and protected species surveys, contributing to data analysis and GIS outputs.
Requirements:
- Degree in Ecology, Zoology, Biology, or a related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
- Professional membership (e.g. CIEEM) and experience in ecological consultancy or planning.
- Knowledge of UK and Irish ecological legislation, with survey licences and GIS skills as a strong advantage.
