Senior Ecologist Role and Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Take charge of ecology-focused projects or steer ecological and ornithological elements within larger multidisciplinary initiatives.
- Hands-On Surveys: Conduct and oversee ecological surveys, ensuring top-notch Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIA) and detailed standalone assessments.
- Expert Reporting: Write and review in-depth ecology assessment reports and technical chapters that set the standard for excellence.
- Licensing Expertise: Manage and prepare protected species licence applications with precision.
- Business Growth: Help drive our business forward by building client relationships, attending networking events, and making your mark at conferences.
The right person for the role:
- Experienced Professional: You bring a strong background in ecology, with significant experience in project management, ecological surveys, and technical report writing.
- Technical Knowledge: You have in-depth knowledge of UK ecology and conservation legislation, particularly in relation to protected species licence applications.
- Adaptable and Agile: You’re flexible and ready to pitch in on other environmental assessments as needed.
- Client-Focussed: Your ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships is second to none, and you’re eager to contribute to our business development.
