Job Title: Senior Ecologist

Salary: £29,000 – £35,000

Location: Glasgow

This is an opportunity to join an award-winning ecology team in Glasgow, where you will work on a variety of challenging and exciting projects across the UK. The Ecology team is recognised by CIEEM for its excellence, and you will have the support you need to succeed.

To be considered for the position you will need survey experience for one or more protected species, with a preference for Scottish species. You will also have a comprehensive knowledge of Scottish and UK wildlife legislation, planning policies, licensing requirements and best practice survey techniques. You will be able to apply your understanding of biodiversity net gain (BNG) and biodiversity enhancements in Scotland to your projects. You will produce high-quality ecological reports, including Preliminary Ecological Appraisals. You will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and other stakeholders. You will be willing to complete field surveys and travel to different parts of Scotland and occasionally other parts of the UK when required. You will hold a degree in ecology, biology, zoology or a related field and be a full member of CIEEM. You will also have a full valid UK/EEC driving licence.
