My Client, a market leading multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy, which specialises in Flood Risk, Hydrology and Natural Flood Management, is searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Flood Defence Team based in Manchester. Alternative locations available.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join a friendly team of Engineers and Hydrologists to complete Flood Risk, Flood Defence and River Restoration Projects for local Authorities and Government Bodies.

As a Senior Civil Engineer you will required to manage projects, check and complete technical work including;

-River Restoration design and Natural Flood Risk Management.

-Flood Alleviation design.

-Flood Defence and Flood Gate Design.

-Design and repair of Weirs, Walls and Embankments.

-Design of River Works and Hydraulic Structures including Culverts, Watercourse Diversions, Reinforced Concrete Design and Repairs.

-Site visits if required by the Asset Management Team.

-Project Management and frequent liaison with Local Authorities to ensure projects are running to time and budget.

It is essential that applicants have a strong BSc and MSc in Hydrology, Civil or Environmental Engineering and experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing Flood Risk Management Projects, Flood Alleviation Schemes and design or maintenance of Culverts, Embankments, Weirs and River Restoration Schemes using AutoCAD.

This role can be based in numerous locations across the UK and can offer remote working up to three days a week.
