The Senior Building Services Engineer will apply strong technical knowledge in mechanical and/or electrical building services to manage and support a multidisciplinary team. The role involves overseeing project deliverables including schematics, drawings, and engineering calculations, ensuring quality and timely completion across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and improve the design process in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Produce and check engineering schematics, elevations, and technical details using AutoCAD and Revit, in line with industry standards and regulations.
- Complete and review engineering calculations to meet project requirements.
- Support project reviews and address issues to ensure adherence to quality standards and deadlines.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards and practices.
- Communicate effectively with clients and design team members in meetings and through written correspondence.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree or equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Be an Associate Member or member of CIBSE
- Have a minimum 8 years of practical design experience in mechanical/electrical building services engineering OR Minimum 5+ years of practical design experience in residential building services mechanical/electrical engineering, plus 5+ years of site experience in residential building services
- Have at least 3 years of project lead experience
- Have line management experience
- High-level working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Have a solid understanding of UK mechanical/electrical design standards
