Rural Surveyor
Location: Shipston on Stour
Penguin Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a unique firm of Chartered Surveyors, Valuers and Estate Agents in their search for a Rural Surveyor. With regional offices from the Midland Counties and Cotswolds, they have extensive local knowledge and business experience. The company has strong relationships with local professional firms and plays a pivotal role in the communities that it serves with over 200 staff and consultants working out of 14 offices.
Candidates are required to have:
RICS qualified Rural Chartered Surveyor
- Registered Valuer and FAAV, preferred, but not essential (support can be given for these qualifications).
- Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice
- Have a commitment to providing an excellent standard of client care
- Be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
- Pro-active and business minded
- Be able to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally
- Full driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Strong organisation skills – able to prioritise own time and workload
- Ability to work well on their own and as part of a Team
What does the role involve?
- Estate and Property Management
- Diversification and Planning
- Valuations, Taxation and Succession planning
- Landlord and Tenant, preparation of Farm Business Tenancies, Grazing Licences and Contract Farming Agreements
- Advising clients on Agri-environmental Schemes and Grants
- Land and Property Sales, and Acquisitions
- Utility and Infrastructure Compensation Claims
- Renewable energy and Woodland Management
