A unique opportunity has arisen for a Principal Ornithologist to lead a dynamic Ecology team within a forward-thinking environmental consultancy. This Principal Ornithologist role involves delivering high-quality ornithological advice on impactful projects across the low-carbon economy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage medium to large-scale projects, delivering Environmental Impact Assessments and Habitat Regulations Appraisals.
  • Innovate and enhance service offerings in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and clients, using your excellent communication skills.
  • Drive expertise in modelling techniques such as collision risk and spatial modelling.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide expert technical advice.

Principal Ornithologist Requirements:

  • Extensive ornithological experience with a focus on sustainable development.
  • Strong knowledge of UK legislation and EIA.
  • Degree in ecology or a related field
  • Full driving licence and car
  • Right to work in the UK
