Planning Consultant | London | Development & Regeneration
Penguin Recruitment are delighted to represent Be First, an innovative urban regeneration company in their search for a Planning Consultant to join their Planning Consultancy team.
This is a unique opportunity to join a consultancy team with strong links within the Council, helping to manage the Council’s site portfolio and work in a client facing capacity to capitalise on the borough’s plans to promote investment and development opportunity throughout the region.
Having experienced an exciting period of growth and expansion, this friendly, medium sized team have ambitious plans to offer comprehensive regeneration services across East London, promote investment and deliver 50,000 homes and over 20,000 jobs within the next twenty years.
This role centres on delivering sustainable and responsible communities within the Borough of Barking and Dagenham, with a view to extend this across wider London Boroughs and areas. As a member of the team, you will do this by utilising resources to acquire sites, secure planning permission and provide expert strategic advice.
As a Graduate Planning Consultant or Planning Consultant, you will hold an RTPI Accredited Qualification, and will have 1+ years working within the planning sector, ideally within the private sector (although this is not essential).
The successful candidate will:
* Have a socially responsible approach to planning and development
* Hold excellent interpersonal skills and research capabilities
* Have experience of planning committee meetings or inquiries
* Take an ambitious, confident approach to a range of planning focused tasks
* Hold a thorough understanding of UK planning policies and procedures
