An employee-owned environmental consultancy is seeking an early-career Occupational Hygienist / Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Consultant to join its growing technical team based in Oxfordshire.

The Role
This is a hands-on, practical role with close support from senior consultants as you develop both technical and client-facing skills. Key responsibilities include:

Delivering occupational exposure assessments (dusts, fibres, VOCs, gases, and other airborne contaminants)

Analysing monitoring results and producing clear, accurate technical reports

Supporting additional surveys such as noise monitoring and LEV assessments (training provided)

Responding to client enquiries, assisting with quotations, and supporting business development activities
The role is primarily office-based, with regular UK site visits. Hybrid working is available once initial training has been completed.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
-
Minimum 1 year’s experience in occupational or industrial hygiene, including airborne contaminant and noise monitoring

Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven technical report writing ability

Confident using MS Word and Excel

Comfortable handling, analysing, and interpreting large datasets

Working knowledge of COSHH, EH40, and MDHS guidance
-
Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK
Desirable
-
BOHS membership
-
Degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
-
Knowledge of IAQ standards and frameworks (e.g. BREEAM)
-
Experience with LEV testing and/or supporting quotations and commercial enquiries

Confidence working independently in a client-facing role
-
Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays
