Job Title: Level 2 Air Tightness Engineer

I’m currently working with a well-established engineering consultancy specialising in air leakage testing, air pressure monitoring, and sustainability services for the construction industry. They’re now looking to add a Level 2 Air Tightness Engineer to their growing team.
This role offers full flexibility – you can be based near Leeds or work remotely across the Midlands, Yorkshire, or South East England. You’ll be carrying out air tightness and leakage testing on commercial builds to ensure compliance with UK construction regulations.
Key Responsibilities

Carrying out air tightness and leakage testing on commercial sites

Preparing and implementing test methodologies

Transporting and setting up testing equipment

Liaising with site teams and clients
-
Collecting, analysing, and interpreting test data
-
Producing detailed technical reports
-
Providing remedial advice following test failures
Requirements
-
Previous experience in air tightness testing
-
Strong understanding of current building regulations, EcoHomes, and the Code for Sustainable Homes

High attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Excellent communication and client-facing abilities

Full UK driving licence
Day-to-Day

Travelling to commercial construction sites

Calibrating and setting up test equipment

Working closely with clients and site contacts

Producing accurate reports and offering technical advice
