Graduate Acoustic Consultant

Overview

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic Graduate Acoustic Consultant to join our growing team in Sheffield. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who is passionate about acoustics and eager to begin their career within a supportive, professional consultancy environment.

Our company delivers high-quality acoustic and vibration consultancy services to a broad range of public and private sector clients, working on varied and technically engaging projects.

The Role

As a Graduate Acoustic Consultant, you will work closely with experienced consultants and contribute to a wide range of acoustic projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking noise and vibration surveys across a variety of sites

  • Carrying out noise modelling and data analysis

  • Preparing clear, well-structured technical reports

  • Supporting project delivery to ensure deadlines and budgets are met

  • Conducting sound insulation testing in line with current industry standards

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A degree in Acoustics, Environmental Science, or a related discipline

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • A proactive, organised, and professional approach to work

  • A full UK driving licence (desirable but not essential)

Day-to-Day Activities

Your role will be varied and hands-on, typically involving:

  • Visiting client sites to carry out noise and vibration assessments

  • Using specialist software to model and interpret acoustic data

  • Working alongside clients, architects, and planning consultants to deliver practical acoustic solutions

  • Producing high-quality reports to support planning applications and regulatory compliance

  • Managing multiple tasks and projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency
