Energy & Sustainability Consultant – London

Salary £30000-£35000 Plus Benefits

Our client who offers a diverse range of technical services to the construction and property industry is on the lookout for an Energy & Sustainability Consultant to be a part of a specialist team of consulting engineers and sustainability consultants in London. The chosen candidate will be educated to degree/Masters’ level in an applicable discipline. Our client also requires the candidate to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an energy or sustainability related field.

You will report to the Sustainability Team Leader and will have the following duties:

  • Conducting BREEAM Assessments
  • Generating Energy and Sustainability Statements
  • Carrying out thermal modelling and dynamic solutions within IES in order to produce SBEM calculations and EPCs
  • Developing daylight, sunlight and overheating assessments
  • Undertaking SAP calculations to determine compliance and inform energy assessments

In order to be considered for the role the following key skills are required:

  • Hold a BREEAM assessor qualification, New construction, other, multi res & RFO included
  • Significant experience working with IES with an emphasis on thermal modelling
  • A background and an aptitude working with SAP for Part L compliance
  • A background in producing energy and sustainability statement for planning applications

The following skills are desirable:

  • Knowledge in putting together daylight, sunlight and overheating assessments
  • Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA)
  • Proficient and experienced in working with IES for Part L compliance and daylight studies
  • Past involvement using One Click LCA software (LCC, Life Cycle Impact)
  • PassivHaus Consultant or experience in using PHPP
  • Post occupancy Evaluation experience
  • NDEA level 4/5 including production and accreditation for issuing EPCs
  • Low Carbon Consultant/ESOS LEAD Assessor
  • Familiarity with WELL/LEED
