An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Civil & Structural CAD Technician to join a well-established and respected engineering consultancy based in Gorseinon, Swansea. This role offers the chance to work on a diverse range of projects across residential, commercial, agricultural and industrial sectors, contributing to high-quality designs and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Detail and model a variety of building, infrastructure and utility projects.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure accurate drawing representation.
- Produce layout drawings, reinforcement detailing, and scheduling.
- Draft underground drainage systems, including S104 applications, SUDS, and Highways Section 38 and 278 applications.
- Mentor and support junior team members.
- Attend design team meetings to provide technical input and ensure alignment with client and team expectations.
-Site visits and client meetings.
As a Civil and Structural Engineer you are required to have the following;
- ONC/OND or HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD with a proven track record of high-quality draughtsmanship.
- Experience with infrastructure, utilities or electrical cabling.
- Knowledge of industry drafting standards.
- Familiarity with Revit, Navisworks or AutoCAD or Microstation
- Strong IT skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driving licence and access to a car for site visits.
