Assistant Planner / Town Planner
Location: Manchester

Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be working with a well-established planning and development consultancy in their search for an Assistant Planner / Town Planner to join their Manchester office.

The Role:
As an Assistant Planner / Town Planner, you will be involved in a variety of planning work including:

  • Preparing and submitting planning applications and appeals

  • Conducting research, site appraisals, and planning policy reviews

  • Assisting in the preparation of planning statements, design and access statements, and development appraisals

  • Supporting senior team members on major applications and client projects

  • Liaising with clients, local authorities, and other stakeholders

About You:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited)

  • 1-3 years of post-graduate experience in planning, ideally within consultancy, development, or local authority

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Ambition to work towards MRTPI accreditation (if not already achieved)
