Acoustic Consultant
Location: Belfast
Salary: £35,000-£45,000 + Benefits
A leading acoustics and environmental consultancy is looking for an experienced Acoustic Consultant to join their growing Belfast team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of building and environmental acoustics projects across the UK and Ireland, collaborating with a knowledgeable, supportive, and expanding team.
In this role, you’ll contribute to projects across residential, commercial, education, infrastructure, and industrial sectors-delivering practical, innovative, and sustainable acoustic solutions from early design stages through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
-
Deliver building acoustics design and environmental noise assessments
-
Undertake noise and vibration monitoring, modelling, and analysis
-
Prepare high-quality technical reports and acoustic assessments

Liaise effectively with clients, planners, and multi-disciplinary design teams

Support business development and provide mentorship to junior staff
About You
-
Degree in Acoustics, Physics, or a related field
-
2-5 years’ experience in building and/or environmental acoustics
-
Proficiency with acoustic modelling software (SoundPLAN, CadnaA, INSUL, CATT, Odeon)
-
Strong knowledge of UK acoustic standards and guidance (BS4142, BS8233, ProPG)
-
Excellent communication, report writing, and client-facing skills
-
IOA membership (MIOA or working towards)

Full UK driving licence
