A respected and rapidly growing acoustic consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join its established Norwich team. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced acoustician looking to take ownership of high-profile projects, guide junior staff, and contribute strategically to the company’s continued expansion across the East of England.
In this senior-level role, you will lead building and environmental acoustics projects from concept through to delivery, acting as a trusted technical authority for clients and stakeholders. You will work across a diverse portfolio including residential, commercial, education, and infrastructure developments, delivering high-quality consultancy services and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and deliver environmental noise and building acoustics projects

Produce high-quality technical reports, noise assessments, and modelling outputs

Act as a key client contact, managing relationships and supporting business development

Mentor and support junior acousticians within the team

Provide expert acoustic advice to planners, architects, developers, and design teams

Ensure compliance with relevant standards, including BS4142, BS8233, and ProPG
Required Skills & Experience
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience within an acoustic consultancy

Strong technical expertise in building acoustics and/or environmental noise

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience using acoustic modelling software such as SoundPLAN, CadnaA, or Odeon
-
Degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field

Full UK driving licence
